Our Story

The vision for Elementa was to create a warm and welcoming environment, where guests can come to relax and absorb the natural beauty of the Whitsundays.

One of the key design factors was to limit the environmental impact and to replant a variety of flora and fauna that will invite and attract local wildlife. Like most journeys there were challenges along the way but we are pleased & proud to say, even though challenged, our integrity and vision was never compromised.

The Journey

Building Elementa was hugely rewarding, creative and lateral thinking were constantly required to achieve our vision.

Without the patience and knowledge of local builder Ray Johanessen and his team at Cumberland Constructions, Elementa would not be what it is today. Ray and his team embraced our vision and the results speak for themselves.

A testament to the excellent engineering & workmanship was shown when Cyclone Debbie hit Airlie Beach during March 2017, at that point in time Elementa was partially built with only two houses completed. The only damage was broken balcony fan and a cracked weld on a bracing rod.

Local trades and suppliers were used at Elementa, they can all be proud of what has been achieved.

Gardens

Norm Silberling from Conway Exotic Gardens is simply the most passionate gardener you will ever meet!

With a lifetime of experience, he has carefully combined local and rare species that has resulted in an environment that is utopia - for Humans, Animals, Insects and taste buds.

Each house has its own boutique garden, common area gardens are predominately edible. Wall gardens are used throughout the complex and be sure to look out for the bird winged butterfly. - Absolutely beautiful.

Mineral Pool

Dipping into our pool, you will immediately notice the freshness of the water and the absence of chorine smell.

Being fitted with a Enviroswim ES3 pool filtration system, it sanitizes the water without adding chemicals except for PH balancing requirements. It uses a combination of silver & copper electrodes, ionization and ultrasonics to remove all impurities.

Our pool has a button controlled Spa section and is temperature controlled to 28°C during winter season.
